Self-exclusion lets you block yourself from betting for a set period or permanently. This page explains the options available with PAIMERBETT (operated by Paimer Bookmaking Pty Ltd, ABN 89 154 794 411, licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW under wagering licence 5521/2023/WB) and through BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register. It should be read with our Responsible Gambling Policy and our Responsible Gambling tools.
1. Your options
You can choose either or both of the following:
- Self-exclude with PAIMERBETT — closes your account with us to betting for the period you choose.
- Register with BetStop — excludes you from every licensed Australian online wagering operator at once.
2. Self-excluding with us
You can self-exclude at any time:
- In your account, under Account → Responsible Gambling → Self-exclude; or
- By contacting our support team by email at support@paimerbett.com, or via our contact form.
You choose the length from these standard periods:
- 3 months (minimum)
- 6 months
- 12 months
- 2 years
- 5 years
- Lifetime / permanent
Once your exclusion starts you will not be able to place bets or deposit, and we will stop sending you marketing. We will not lift an exclusion before the period you chose has ended.
Third-party exclusion requests
A concerned family member or other affected third party can ask us to consider excluding an account holder where there is evidence of gambling-related harm. We assess each request on a case-by-case basis, consistent with our legal obligations and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and may act on it. To make a third-party request, contact us at support@paimerbett.com.
3. BetStop — the National Self-Exclusion Register
BetStop is the free Australian Government register that lets you exclude from all licensed online and phone wagering operators in Australia with a single registration. You can register for a minimum of three months up to a lifetime.
We are required by law to check registrations and our marketing against BetStop. We will not knowingly open an account for, accept a bet from, or send marketing to a person listed on the register.
4. What self-exclusion does
- You cannot place bets or deposit funds while excluded.
- We stop all direct marketing to you.
- We will not knowingly let you open a new or duplicate account during the exclusion.
- An exclusion you set cannot be cancelled early — this is by design, to protect you.
5. Your balance & open bets
Any withdrawable balance remains yours. We will return it to a verified account in your name, subject to our identity checks (see our AML/KYC & Source of Funds page). The treatment of bets already placed and not yet settled is set out in our Terms & Conditions.
6. Ending an exclusion
An exclusion runs for the full period you chose. It does not end automatically the moment that period passes — you must contact us to reactivate betting, and a short cooling-off period may apply before reactivation takes effect. A permanent exclusion is not reversible.
7. Related tools
If you are not ready to exclude, lighter-touch tools may help: deposit limits, take-a-break / time-outs, reality checks and activity statements. See Responsible Gambling.
